‘60 YEARS OF MUSIC WORLD TOUR’

ENNIO MORRICONE will perform at the TAURON Arena Krakow on 6 February 2017. The concert is part of his ‘60 YEARS OF MUSIC WORLD TOUR’. On stage Maestro will be accompanied by Czech National Symphony Orchestra, over 200 musicians and singers together.

In Polish concert Morricone will play the music from the last soundtrack for Quentin Tarantino movie The Hateful Eight, for which he was honored with Academy Award, the Golden Globe Award the BAFTA Award and the New York Films Critics Award.

The internationally renowned Italian film composer will appear in TAURON Arena Krakow, as part of a large-scale world tour which began in January 2016, to mark his 60-year Anniversary as a professional composer and conductor. The Maestro’s tours have been massively successful in recent time, performing to live audiences exceeding 350,000 spectators in Europe alone since 2014.

Ennio Morricone has composed over 500 scores for cinema and television as well as over 100 absolute music works. Highlights include his scores for Once Upon a Time in the West, One Upon a time in America, A Fistful of Dollars, The Untouchables and The Mission. Morricone’s score for The Good, The Bad and The Ugly holds the number two position in the Top 200 ranking of best film soundtracks ever composed.

Discussing his new forthcoming tour, Morricone said: “I feel so deeply honored with all the recognition that I was blessed to receive over this past year. The awards, the kind words from peers in my field, the journey with Quentin Tarantino and above all the joy of seeing audiences in such great numbers attend my concerts. I am ready go on the road now and I look forward to performing my music live again”.
